Can't read Vin numbers on Hyundai Sonatas past year 2012. Can't even input them manually,  software has no idea what type of car it is.  Great job yet on another update.  Wish you guys would test these updates before releasing them.

I ran into that as well. You have to specify USA in market category.

     Hello.

What is the Year and VIN number of your Hyundai vehicle?

Which country is your vehicle made in? And which market is the vehicle mainly exported to?

Thanks and look forward to your reply.

    Hello.
On your Maxisys, you can select USA as the Area, and then go to Hyundai->Manual Vehicle select->Sonota(YF)->2012->G2.0T-GDI to test 2012 Hyundai Sonata 2.0T.

I wish I could unless I,m doing something wrong. When I choose USA I have 4 options
GM,Chryler,Ford, and Eodb. Am I missing something? However shouldn't maxisys be
able to look up the vin automatically?

     Hi Surtburn,
After selecting Hyundai you will have the options AUTO SELECT, MANUAL SELECT and SW AREA CONFIG.
SW AREA CONFIG changes the available vehicle models. This is what they are referring to when they say to choose a different country.
I get calls where people cant find the i30 and i40 models but they are under the EUROPE SW AREA.
With the VIN, it depends on what country they have done the software engineering in as the VIN's are different for each market.
    Hope this helps.
